    Default Australia Day

I think owning a Citroen must have some sort of impediment to the awards on Australia day because I've damn well missed out again. Seem like everybody including the drover's dog got a mention. But not me, oh no, gotta wait until next year now and hopefully my 'ol mate Pete [what a fine fellow, is he not ] will suddenly remember what a fine fellow I am also. Bugger it, have to put the brass door plate on hold yet again. Is there no justice.

Ever noticed that the recipients are usually highly paid individuals just doing what they receive money to do. These awards would be more authentic if the people receiving them were some of the millions of unpaid volunteers that help keep so many of the country's organisations running. The people who give of their time and effort without any financial reward.

Not neccessarily so. I know quite a few AM recipients that are retirees (ie not highly paid) and got their award because of the comminuty service that they have provided over the years.

It is true that none of them have owned a Citroen.

You just have to work out a way to get on the list.
I don't think Pete is the corruptible kind -Thankfully it appears to be very few in the past that have been despite enormous pressure inflicted on at least on.Reckon that there was one that was 'Dodgy though'.
