    Default C5 mudguard replacement

Very unfortunately hit a wallaby which damaged the passenger side guard. Can be either panel beaten out or another guard fitted. There are bolts along the top of the guard that I can see, does it "simply" unbolt in C5s or is it welded as well? Any clues gratefully received.

    Regards

It's not welded on. There's a bead of glue down the back edge and I think along the top, but it is otherwise a bolt on panel. You might do some damage removing it and you will probably want to use an appropriate adhesive to fit the replacement. The metal is thin and it you are going to repair, it may be easier to do it on the car, depending on where it's damaged. They are surprising inexpensive even as a new part.
