    Default DS boot Luggage

Had a friend over today looking at my DS23, he was saying back in Holland his parents had a DS (Many years ago) that came with suitcases especially designed to fit in the boot of a DS

Anyone heard of this before? would be a great addition!

Fitted luggage was quite common on high end European cars in the 50s, I've never seen it for a D, but go to a British car show, or look at a Mercedes from the 50's and you'll see some nice examples.

It is being remade for some models although typically the ones with stratospheric prices, like the Mercedes 300SL 'gullwing'

I would LOL if it were marked American Tourister.

Yah, that's the pic I remember, Mort. What we don't know is if that just happened to be a set that fit, or if that really were a custom-made set for the D. I can imagine a house like Hermes making a set to fit, but the cost would be equal to or greater than the car.

Would be ideal for a "raide" car, no?

I'm impressed- you use your wagon as a genuine professional car. I see the casket table and the obvious all-black livery. Any other details you needed to change?

Heh- you remind me of when I wired hearses. Never will forget when a newbie employee walked up to the car I was working on and asked with a sort of wide-eyed look "This is a hearse??" I reply "Yep, sure is. Something I can help you with?" (I was on a rather tight deadline with that car). "But, this is a hearse!" "Yes- it is. What is your point?" "It carries dead people!" Dude was freaking a little bit by this point, and starting to irritate me. "Dude, the car hasn't even been finished yet. Now I need to concentrate on what I'm doing." "But it carries dead people!!" By this time my super shooed him off. Couple of days later, he was gone. I guess he couldn't deal with the fact we built hearses to go with the limos and armored cars.
