    Default gear selector bush assistance required

    Hi All,

    I cannot seem to install the new bush i have for the gear selector. Accesses is difficult being under the front cross member.

    Grease and muscle and i still cant get it on.
    Can someone help me?

    do i seat the bush first or other way round? or is there a secret trick.

    Urgent assistance greatly appreciated!

    There are two bolts that hold the selector arm in place. Undo these and remove the complete rod. Then you can press the bush into place on the bench!
    While this is out check that the ball pin that the bush conects to is not worn!

    ok so the gear selector arm that comes from the cabin needs to come out and the arm the ball join it on.

    where are the bolts located.

    Under the frame behind the engine. You can see the selector arm poking out under the frame.
    The bolts are 24-----there are two.
    The bush is 9 and the ballpin is 7
    Part 1 is the control arm that you have to remove!
    I suggest that you look at the sticky posts on Citroen manuals and down load the w/shop manuals and the spare parts manuals!

    thanks alot.

    i have previously downloaded the manuals from somewhere but all are either unreadable or not comprehensive enough.

    am i missing the best one somewhere
