    Default LHM container

Just wondering if rectangular LHM bottles, maybe made of tin, are available anywhere? I believe the carrier on the drivers side near the radiator of my car is for this purpose?

The absolute original manufacturer PENTOSIN has just started remanufacturing in the original square tin can of 2 liters that will fit in the holder.

The only place to get it is at der franzose.com

Yep, my guess is the bean counters didn't see enough profit in it if they went the extra length and made the manufacturing more complex....as is often the case nowadays. The D would never have existed if guys like that had been in charge in those days!

Possibly more to it than that, the original style container was reusable I still have one after 20+ years. This new container is essentially a single use and replace $$

I have a few spare, but they're GS-sized (a tad smaller than the ones for the D & SM)

They can easily be found on ebay. "Citroen" and "LHM" in your search and ye shall find.

Scratch what I said about the Ebay search technique earlier. "Bidon" and "Huile" is what you need. Sorry my French brain is not switched on today.
