Also my GLW spotted a 504 wagon (?), obviously a fellow frogger. The SM has taken a big whack into the right front wheel/strut....not a pretty look. Brendan.

Was it damaged before it went onto the truck or when the truck went off the road ?

I think the tilt tray was cleaning up the mess.

Ouch! I hope it can be repaired - hopefully only panels and some minor realignment.

Was wondering were the other car was,[green merc wagon towards the end ] he must have been towing a trailer ,im glad to here he had wind to dissipate the gas, pugs ps considering the slope ,possibly some dry cleaning required as well.

The SM does not look at all well.
The turned angle of the front wheel, apart from any other damage beneath the bonnet and wing.
A bummer for the owner, my commiserations.
Sad, both vehicles are considered classics.

Reminds me of the way the first DS was delivered - on a dog trailer behind a similar truck with a Honda on it destined for delivery elsewhere.

So, I would have it as a guess that the SM was on its way to be delivered (or picked up) so bugger the truck driver!

I would not want to be the owner that was anxiously waiting delivery of the new "baby".

I would still test the suspension to see if it worked with the truck driver under it.

Someone has to protect the paint.

I don't think that one's going to buff out.

Reminds me of travelling through Napal, trucks and buses would go off the mountain roads on a daily basis. Mostly because they would run them without servicing the brakes and only rely on the gears to slow them up.
Looks like this truckie didn't anticipate the bend, the weight of his load or the braking and handling ability of his truck. You can see some skid marks on the road.

Not one from the forum I take it? Needs to be investigated and added to the list don't you think. If the owner wants to give it away as damaged, I'll take it

The SM had just been sold and picked up to go to it's new owner...I'm told the brakes failed on the truck
The SM had been owned by a fellow frogger...

I checked out one at all french day in bris ,and it would appear that the chassis rail is pretty low there so with a little luck it may just be the bonnet and outer/inner guard ,i dont know were you would start looking for pannels pugs ,hope it was insured

Someone would be mad not to have insurance while carrying all types of expensive cars.

Being in transport myself i pay $40.00 a month for load/public property insurance for 3 million, in this case the gas line would come under public as it was hit by the truck and is static property, the cars would fall under load insurance.

When it comes down to what a accident like that could cost, I'm happy with piece of mind for $480.00 a year of which i can also claim as an expense.

When you insure a car you will get public damage insurance with it, sadly this week a number of elderly drivers have gone though shops, their insurance should cover this. You can imagine the cost of hitting a building, let alone not being insured when you do. Thats why third party is a must and the cheaper choice to protect others and yourself.

Load insurance is something else again and only affects people who carry items for payment.
