    Default Panel repairer

Can anyone suggest a good panel repairer in Melbourne?

I trust Heka to do excellent work however I have a shorter time frame expectation.

    Hi Rev,
This my GS in his spray booth, he has since done a 2CV which later got the remark from someone, "Is that a new 2CV?" and another GS. Wil is from Seychelle so he knows and understands French cars, but don't expect him do a rush job. I have seen in his workshop Mustangs, a Karmann Ghia and a really old Beetle (oval back windscreen).

Try give him a ring for a chat and see what you think.

    Cheers,

    Andrew

    Thanks Andrew
I'd like to find someone who knows what needs to be looked at/done on a D...but if someone has restored a safari they will know the best way about it....someone with Richo's skill and attention to detail...
happy to wait...and pay...my budget? would be around $20k...was hoping to get any mechanical issues sorted as well
Any resto has got to be engine/everything out
    cheers

PS How much was your GS resto? and was there bodywork/rust repairs involved?

    Hi Rev.
Of coarse after 30 years there are rust and panel repairs to be done. I also got the wheel bearings done by Wil, all up it was about $5000. The upholstery I did myself plus all the other mechanical jobs. Nearly finished now just a few odd jobs before I get a RWC and onto club plates.
I think it's best if you go and see him and have a chat and see the other cars he has done and is doing to get a better idea before you decide.

    Cheers,

    Andrew
