Default Citroen CX series one door lock barrel

It seems I'm tackling the big & small issues concurrently, such is life. The drivers door lock turns on my '76 CX2200 yet doesn't move the rod to unlock the mechanism. So I need to remove the key barrel. Does anyone know how this is done? It seems fused on!

Hi, it's not fused on. There is a metal clip that holds it in place, on the inside of the door, behind the lock barrel. You have to remove the door panel on the inside of the door, and have the window up. You have to reach up inside the door space and remove the clip, which is slid around the barrel to hold it in place. As soon as you remove the clip the lock barrel will almost fall out.

Thanks George 1/8th. I'll give it another go. Was looking for a thread from behind.
