    Default Key battery low.

    Hey everyone.

My C3 told me that my key remote battery is low.

    Just a quick question.

Does it have to be replaced by Citroen so they can reprogram the key, or can any watch battery place do it for me?

    Hi ,
I replaced my C5 remote battery recently. I also cleaned the contacts on the circuit etc. When I went to the car again it did not work so I put it into the ignition and turned it on and pressed the buttons and it worked ok after that. I though I read that somewhere

A citroen dealer would charge an arm and a leg for that. My battery cost $3 at Jaycar. Actually I think the clean was all it really needed. Some metho and a cotton bud.

The instructions will be in your owner's manual. It's a pretty painless procedure.
    Regards,
