Funny, the ad has photos of a different car on "the rally".

I am sure I have seen that car before listed as a replica.

The real money is on the log book for the car. Cars have been 'remade' from a ID tags but the providence is actually the paperwork or unique features that only few can verify. Harry Firth is one of the few remaining 'fonts of information', Graham Hoinville is another, Bob Watson is well known on this forum. ie What they say is gospel. Currently I have a friend who is re-building a GT Falcon that was bought as 'real' GT except it was actually made from two or possibly three cars! It will be 'corrected' using a V8 body of the right vintage/type, the end result will be a 'near as dammit'/legal GT Falcon. The ID plates are real and the story is true, just getting the end result is correcting decades of 'dodgy' by being dodgy...... Brendan
