Default CCCNSW April Meeting - Shannons Auction Room

We had our CCCNSW April meeting last night at the Shannons auction room in St Leonards and had the chance to wander around some pretty incredible sheet metal!

Some of the vehicles on show included -:
    - Ferris de Joux Maserati Special
    - 2003 TVR Tuscan Mk1 Targa Convertible
    - 1971 Porsche 911T 'Targa' 2.2 Coupe
    - 1964 Mercedes-Benz 230SL Convertible
    - 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190SL Roadster
    - 1972 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12 Coupe
    - 1980 Audi UR Quattro Turbo Coupe (previously owned by former 24 Heures du Mans winner and F1 driver, Vern Schuppan!)

The jaw-dropper of the evening was an amazing collection of Harley Davidsons from throughout the last century. From the sale description...

OFFERED FOR SALE BY PRIVATE TREATY AS ONE COMPLETE LOT, WILL NOT SELL SEPARATE OR PART OF

An exceptional and extremely rare opportunity exists for a serious and astute collector to acquire a very important Harley-Davidson motorcycle collection.

The machines span all the eras of description, starting with genuine antique (100 or more years old), to veteran, vintage, pre-war, wartime, post-war, classic and modern.
If names such as 'Model 5-35', 'Shortster', 'JDH Twin Cam', 'XA', 'Sloper', 'Peashooter', 'Topper', 'Baby Chicago Harley', 'Board Tracker' mean anything to you, they are all to be found among the motorcycles of this collection.
It would take an extraordinary amount of time and effort for anyone to assemble such a collection today, and many of the machines are simply not obtainable anywhere in the world anymore.

    ON OFFER ARE:-
53 Bikes, 15 Sidecars, approx. 40 cubic metres of spares and some tooling. Some of these bikes are in as new condition and others need restoration.
We were told that offers are being fielded from all over the world, with the lowest offer being in the hundreds of thousands of dollars! One of the early model dirt bikes from the collection was alone valued at over AUD$100,000!!

it was a good collection of vehilces on offer at the up coming auction. This is the third or fourth time the Citroen Car Club has been able to hold an event meeting in the auction rooms. It probably helps that there is a french car fancier on staff!
PS: the right hand drive Caddys were HUGE....

If you think the Prestige has good legroom try the big Caddy. It had been slightly bastardised by someone putting doof doof speakers in the front doors, easily fixed. Otherwise in very good nick. Totally useless, totally wrong, totally beautiful car.

I was searching the showroom for a Citroen, but not much to see. There is a plastic kit of a Traction listed which is very nice.

This had bits of almost everything, including Masser, Toyota, BMC and VW, but no Citroen.

This had the right plates, but not quite right:

This might have had a Citroen gearbox and brakes:

    But what is this?
