    Default How much?

    Hey everyone.

Not sure if anyone will be able to help, but thought I'd put it out there anyway.

My c3 pluriel has had a look over by the mechanics and am awaiting prices from them once they figure out where they are sourced.

Anyone had these repairs done before?

    Timing belt change.
    Helicoil put in sump plug
    Brake pads/rotors
    Window regulator/actuator

If so, rough ideas on prices?

    Any help would be amazing.
    Thanks guys!

Ok. Add a service onto that and I'm looking at 3k+.

I'm assuming those prices are worst case?

Definitely replace the water pump and make sure to fish out any bits of the impeller if it's broken up. Also the tensioner/roller.

Depending which one, where it's obtained from and who is doing the work, a new Pluriel window reg could be anywhere from $1-3K fitted. You have to strip a fair amount out to replace a rear one and the part could exceed $2K retail. Front regulators form part of the glass guide, so you can't easily leave them out. It may be worth looking for the repair kits that were on offer via eBay to fix them. If the front regulators are not correctly adjusted, the car will probably leak.

It's just the front passenger side not the rear. The mechanic seemed to think that was quite an easy fix?

Has your mechanic changed a Pluriel window regulator before? No, it's not a rocket science repair, but it does incorporate part of the glass guide, so it's not like most cars where you can remove the regulator and simply push the glass up while it's out. Hopefully, he can repair it for you? The clip that runs up and down the track is the same as a later Xantia from memory and they are left and right handed.

Hi David. Turns out he was thinking of the standard C3. All good. That can be on the back burner for a couple of weeks.

Does anyone know the change intervals of the timing belt? 100k?

Those sumps strip out very easily. When I come across one I retap the sump and fit an oversized sump plug

I recently had a couple of similar jobs done on my C2, similar motor and doors, at a Citroen dealer in Sydney.
Timing belt and water pump change (I supplied the water pump which I bought a year or so from a parts importer):
    Motor Kit $350
    Coolant $27
    Labour $340
    Dealer Total: $717
I also had the door locking actuator and handle replaced ( local auto electrician broke handle mechanism when trying to replace actuator before I took it to the dealer to get the job done correctly).
I bought a second hand actuator from wrecker $50
    Handle Holder RHF $103
    Labour $169
    Dealer total $272
( I know you are looking at replacing a window actuator but this may give you an idea of labour costs as the replacement jobs would be similar.)
