    Greetings all

I finally got around to replacing my lower radiator pipe yesterday... never got around to checking it since I bought the car and I had the new bits ready to go... well thank goodness I changed it... have a look at the guts of the pipe.. looks like a cave or something..eeeeewwwww...

Replaced with a stainless pipe and both rubber joints as well and made sure there was enough clearance above the steering rack pipes..

Tick* done that and stainless, painted brown 'cause the one it replaced 'twere brown, those horrible hose clamps won't be there much longer either

Certainly provides incentive to use a stocking in your top radiator hose to catch the crud that must be running through the cooling system.

BTW, Denise says if you don't get that filthy piece of crap off that table quick smart they'll be no Tim Tams for 6 months!!!

    Cheers

The Déesse has all the characteristics of one of those objects fallen from another universe that fed the mania for novelty in the eighteenth century and a similar mania expressed by modern science fiction: the Déesse is first and foremost the new Nautilus.

    Good example of corrosion.
PH balanced coolant, replaced regularly and perhaps even a magnesium sacrificial anode will keep things in good condition. Stainless steel is also at risk from corrosion, don't let the shiny stuff lead you to a false sense of security.

Lotsa luvly brown paint there Chris, typical of the late model cars.

    cheers

Interestingly Chris it looks flakey but the little stalagtites and mites are rock hard. Tim Tams are off the menu... I have to fit back into my uniform next month! I have however made two batches of pistachio and cranberry biscoti lately!

    Hello to Denise xx
