    Default Check out this DS

This DS turned up at work today,
Unfinished project but what a car. Hopefully finished by FCF.

    Fully engineered and legal.

Its a DS23 Pallas and it would make the perfect wedding car.

Those tail lights are pretty wild!

    I like the suicide doors.

It might look better with a white tape steering wheel.

Looks like the red SM engined conversion Adie Pease in the UK did years ago.

This white mod looks quite good too - I like the way they've reworked the exterior handles. White tape wheel would be better too as would putting the steering wheel in the correct (for RHD) 4 o'clock position.

Like I said its an unfinished project so he might have plans for the steering wheel and he's a DS tragic so I'm sure he knows what position the wheel should be. He only just pulled up at the curb and I grabed my camera so the wheels are probably not straight.

I wonder how they have hinged the boot lid. I am not a fan of all the creamy white and beige. It looks too American!

Did you know that in many Asian countries hearses are white? You might see that for Asian weddings in Australia black cars are used as, of course, to use white would be unlucky.

I wonder if it is ever going to have a soft top as it has no provision for latches on the top of the windscreen ,and has door handles on the inside only .It would be a challenge to come up with something that looked ok and kept the weather out. It appears to be an open car only which would restrict it to fine weather

There is plans for a roof. Have a look in the back seat floor area, that beam running across that looks like a foot rest hinges up and will become one of the roof supports.

I think it will be fine weather car with a wet weather option just in case.
