Default 2CV door mirror repairs: (where's 'Rog'?)

    Hi.
I've just joined the forum mainly because I'm trying to find someone in Australia!

I run a parts website in England. I recently had an enquiry from someone about my MirrorCool range (surround trim kits, convex glasses, stainless mirror arms, swivel kits, etc), and particularly the problems of the 2CV passenger-side flip-up window hitting the door mirror: asking me to supply the necessary new parts to eliminate this problem (caused by most of the later mirror arms having the bend in the wrong place).
I replied to the enquirer but a few days later he contacted me again asking for a reply, so he obviously hadn't received my reply. I can only assume that there's a problem with the email address he gave me. I don't want him to think I'm ignoring his enquiry, so I'm just hoping he might be on this forum or someone might know who he is.

    He calls himself 'Rog'.
His email address ends with .....@optusnet.co.au'.
    He's got a RHD 2CV.
    He lives in/near Sydney.

I know that's not much to go on, but that's all I've got!

    Thanks
PS: I haven't mentioned my parts website address because I'm not sure what the rules are about advertising on the forum (and it's irrelevant to to post anyway!).

    Probably should be optusnet.com.au.

    Have a crack at that.

    OK!

    It's www.retrospecparts.com

I do stuff for French classic cars, (mainly Citroen).
The biggest part of my business is supplying my MirrorCool surround trim kits (as mentioned by daffyduck, above), which some of you have bought direct from me, but others may have bought from the companies that I supply them to, (eg: Ecas, 2CV City, 2CV Shop, and other parts specialists in England, France, Holland and Germany). I also do other parts to restore 2CV (and other) mirrors, like convex mirror glasses, swivel kits and stainless steel arms (that have the bend in the right place!).
I also do convex glasses and surround trims for DS and many other classic Citroens, Peugeots, Renaults, etc.

Thanks for this opportunity. As I said, some of you have already bought from me. I hope I can supply more of you in the future.
As you say it's ok to advertise like this, should this post be somewhere else, under a different heading, so more people see it?

    Daras,

Good to see you pop up on Aussiefrogs. It was good to meet you briefly at ICCCR too. The mirrors and surrounds on my D Special are still going fine.

Tadpole or Pottsy, please see post re WUB190 GS wagon above. Would you be the person selling back then for $900?

if so, could you please help me with a point in the right direction?

Also, retrospect parts I am after a 2cv rhd rubber floor mat for front and after real item or reproduction. Do you sell these for 77 model with suspended and overhanging pedalS?

    please let me know.

Hi Chris. Sorry but I don't have these parts I'm afraid. I don't think anyone is selling the front rubber mat for RHD at the moment. Ecas has it listed, but is out of stock and looking for a manufacturer. They do have the rear one though: http://www.ecas2cvparts.co.uk/rubber...ock-p-343.html

Not me Chris. Not sure why you would ask me that.

Never had a GS, not that I wouldn't mind one, just that I've never had the space coinciding with the funds and the opportunity.

    Good luck in your quest.
