    Default XM fast idle

Hi wondering if anyone knows about this ? 1998 V6 24V.
When the car is moving e.g. rolling in neutral the idle is 1300 rpm (too fast IMHO).
as soon as the wheels stop turning it settles to 850.
presumably this is an anti-stall mechanism.
I want to lower the fast idle to improve the smoothness of downchanges.
(This has only happened after one of the sensors was changed and maybe it was not the correct part ?)
Is this fast idle adjustable ?
    thanks
    Mike

Is this an ES9J4 powered car?

If so, all of this is "fixed" - possibly you have a small vacuum leak. Lexia will offer you live data reading; this can be useful in such cases.
