    WTB - **CHEAP 504 or 505**

I'm on the market for a cheap 2_cents 504 or 505, of any model designation, in the Melbourne area.

I've been without wheels for nearly a year now and have been thinking about the very first car I owned. A mint '82 504 GL. I wish I never sold it. cry

Anyway, I'm after somehting that is drivable, with maybe a little bit of reg that does not need too much done spanner for me to get it back on the road.

    Thanks Ed.

Sounds like a tidy little unit and is definately in the right price bracket. Not to mention being in yellow! That's very trendy these days, right??
I guess that I would be willing to spend up to 5K. At then oment I'm looking at a 505 GTi and STi, so I will let you know if these fall through and I'll have a look at Yellow Peril.

    Cheers, cheers!

You're in the market for a "cheap" 504? Five grand should buy you an absolutely tops 504! Should get you a pretty good 505 GTi too, but if it was me I'd rather a $5000 504 than a $5000 GTi.

I hear you loud and clear on that comment John.

However, circumstance has changed for me and I'm considering a 205GTi now.. Back in 94 my Dad had a 205GTi Classic, I loved that car. Any advice on what to look out for with this model?

Cheap 504/505? Looking in the trading post most 'five ohs' seem to be around the $1500-3000 mark. Only exception was a 1993 505 Wagon going for $12k.

Someone, I once wrote, in the bowels of Peugeot understands handling and how a chassis should feel." - Jeremy Clarkson
