It seems 306s are really hard to move on this forum.

    Kristian,

I wouldn't take it too hard,

Selling a Peugeot on this forum, is often a little like preaching to the choir

No offence, but maybe it is hard to sell 306s on this forum because we all know how you have been driving them before you decide to sell them .

Well, you can't assume everything. I've had it less than 6 mths and it's been mostly hwy km's I've been told by three mechanics it is in excellent condition. The reason I'm selling is genuine.

As much as there are enthusiasts in this forum, i just don't think there are many buyers here. Most of us have the cars we need and aren't looking. I doubt we get much new traffic that are looking at buying, and that's what you need to sell. I'm sure it's a top car and if I was looking we'd be talking, no doubt at all.

    Good luck with it buddy.

Love the 306GTi except .. A). wrong side of the country and B). that right hand turning circle was never a favourite. Sounds like the car is in pretty good nic though.

Hnag-out and don't be tempted to take it to the dealer ... they'll screw you.

Well I am a potential buyer - I am just very busy at the moment - and like to ask a lot of questions to stay informed and not make a mistake in buying a used car like I did last time. a_drink

Very good idea. Last time my father bought a used car he just looked in the glove box and said 'yep it has a service history, i'll buy it'. What he didn't do was read the service history and see that this particular car (a 94 Magna V6) had constantly had problems since day one disappro mallet

He's learnt from that mistake (after spending on average $1400 per year in servicing/repairs) dead .

right hand turning circle is not a problem
after you have driven the car for a little while you forget all about that little problem and you tend to drive around accordingly
the only time you find out about it is when you are in a shopping centre and to be honest how often would you want to be taking a GTi_6 shopping
honestly though you learn to pick free spots on the left not the right

I guess I have to be patient. It's just that I hate selling cars such a pain.

There isn't a huge inconvenience with the turning circle. I just pulled the handbrake when I really have to get around a corner, normally a cul-de-sac. Otherwise you just don't do u-turns, it's safer to go around the block anyway, and you really do get used to it.

The only place I've been to where it would be a problem would be Wellington. There'd be a fair amount of handbrake required to get up Mt Victoria with a GTi6. But around Sydney I've never complained, just laughed occasionally.

Kristian, great sounding car. Sorry I'm not in the market.

    Guys/Gals,

Just want to let you know that I would be interested in a swap.

The car would have to be larger and preferably a sedan. Does not necessarily have to be a Pug either. I'd be interested in a straight swap to a car that's classified as 'project' Basically, my options are WIDE open on choice of swap dependant on size of course.

If anyone is interested let me know.

I'll swap you for my S16 It's notiably bigger inside as the driver generally has less of a large head driving it around.

It's a shame you can't sell it, thats a bargain. I almost paid that for my S16 in late 2000.

My parents had a 504, build like a tank!

Wouldn't mine putting the lexus 1UZ in one of them

That would be a nice sleeper, even in a 505 would be nice
