    Isn't it about time you and your friends learnt to drive a manual? You'll all get benefits, including

    1. a wider choice of excellent cars (like this Laguna)
    2. manual cars are generally cheaper in the second hand market, and are always cheaper new
    3. you get better performance out of the same engine
    4. you save fuel in the long run

    Really, it isn't hard. I taught my Clio driving sister to drive manual back when I got the 306 XR. We went for a drive around the block a couple of times, did a few hill starts and she was off on her own. The most difficult part of driving is not the gear changing, it's everything else. My sister had been driving for 3 years at the time, so could handle "everything else" adequately (she's a good driver) so picking up how to drive a manual was a simple small addition to her set of skills for driving.

    She picked a manual when she bought her car, and now she drives the Clio like the little goer it is wink

    I really should just that my friends and i think autos are easier...I do need to learn however.. wink
