What do you mean by awfully familiar? I have owned this car for nearly ten years.

I assume that the Falcon aircleaner means the Weber is a 34ADM from either an XE or XF Falcon?

The Sr wheel is a spare as i had a flat and the carb is a 34ADM weber.
The vehicle needs a bit of work, though the body is straight(but needs attention)
There is a lot of spares to go with it, the price is negotiable to a intrested party.

Ray, I think you need to upgrade from that old wagon to a more civilised steed such as a 604...

    Been there, done that...

I don't have the budget to run a six at the moment, and the spares inventory is all 4-cyl oriented.

How does the Falcon carby go on the 604? I have a 604 with a Holley, and it is soooooooo thirsty. a_drink a_drink a_drink I may have a Falcon Weber to play with in a month or two, and I might try it.
$1400 is a bargain for a 604 with everything working.

604s are always thirsty... a product, I'm told, of oversize inlet ports.

That's why they improve their consumption on LPG. Very few cars go better on LPG than on petrol.

The reason that the Holley 2300 is usually very thirsty on engines less than about 2.5 litres is because the power valve is too rich for them.

The power valve restriction orifice is fixed, so to reduce its size you must plug it, then drill it to a smaller size. On 2 litre OHC Ford engines they have to reduce it to 0.45-0.50mm to be able to calibrate the carby correctly for such a "small" engine.

If you have a Holley 2300 (i.e a 350cfm or a 500cfm two barrel) on a 604, then it would pay to have the power valve restriction orifice reduced to about 0.5mm.
