Yeh, I dont want to scare him. He drove a new Skyline GT-R in Japan (sold it to come here for study)I think the Cars in Australia flip them out a bit. He says he wants a manual, front wheel drive and room for a surfboard. Fairly reasonable criteria I suppose! I know nothing about cars, so what are his options? Sadly he knows a lot about cars, his brother works at JUN tuning. Anything out there with a bit of kick? ^^ Guess not hey. Anyway, the line is out for advice. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx

Well you could try and find a ET turbo pulsar, or a Mitsubishi Cordia GSR, but for $2000, it will be a clapped out one..... really his budget is too small, why not just get a long term lease-hire rental car???? good luck..-chris

ps if his bro works for JUN ask him to fill a suitcase of stuff and sell it here for a profit!!!lol

if you can find anything out there with a bit of kick for $2k, you will probably end up spending another $2K in repairs

Maybe he should be looking for something reliable...

    toyota, nissan, Peugeot....

Perhaps the fact that he wants front wheel drive is definitely an indication of his intellect. I mean, he had a GT-R? They are rear wheel drive... are you sure he doesn't just lump front wheel drive in because it's the price range he expects to find?

Adrian's right...if it's got some oomph it will probably need repairs at that price. But there are some things that won't.

I'd reckon this guy's best interests would be served by steering him towards a Cressida wagon. Fix the timing chain rattle and it should do the job...
