Could be interested. Would just have to find the time to come over and have a peek I guess. Any info and other pics you have would be helpful.

i can try to get an under bonnet pic in the next couple of days. i meant to take one the first time but the camera's battery ran out dead
the car has always been a canberra car and was owned by an old pug afficionado from new until last november. he had to sell it as he had a stroke and his wife couldn't drive a manual. it has been very well maintained by the original owner and after his stroke, by the Pug association mechanic. the only things i have had to do to it are get the air con fixed and a new brake slave cylinder kit. it has been absolutely reliable - more reliable than the 206 i had previously. i wouldn't hesitate to take it anywhere, including perth!

Does is still have the original books etc?

How soon are you hoping to sell it? I'll need to take some time off work to come and see it, which I can't do for another 2 weeks. Plus have to sell my current money hole...

it has been serviced until the end of the book's length. after that it has some peugeot club mechanic's notes. i can tell you most thnigs about it, anything else i can probably ask the original owner.
i need to sell the car pretty soon. it is currently being stored in a friend's garage but i simply don't have the money to pay for two lots of insurance. ideally i would like to sell it by the end of july.
as for you looking at it, perhaps if you know someone in canberra they can come and look at it on your behalf. alternatively we could arrange an objective inspection from somewhere...?

Sorry, due to some rather nasty repairs on my current car, looks like I'll have to be down grading to something 'boring' for a little while Wish you best of luck with the sale, she is a beauty!

    thanks adrian cheers!
the car will be advertised in canberra times tomorrow and trading post next week. just out of interest do people think the asking price is reasonable?

I'd ask firm $5000 for that thing it's in such good condition.
It reminds me of the one we used to have... although it wasn't quick to pick up once it hit cruising speed it could sit there all day and was such a smooth ride.

    I think it's worth $4,500,
but unfortunately a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay...

If you have no interest, then either there are no buyers, or the price is too high.
Having said that it's easier to come down in price than increase in price..

So start off higher work your way down till it sells.

    that's my 2_cents worth
