I know - I was thinking engine bay fire? Can't have been too big. Maybe there is no engine there - oooooooh, that would make it even more perfect! who wants a GL anyway!

Anyone notice the white R25 in the background (and another green one in the listing!)?

And before you say it, I know they didn't make them then, that's why it's great that I have a sorted one and that might have an empty bay... still, not worth it considering 1. my complete lack of money, 2. my sorted car AND 3. I want a 205 much MUCH more!

    I KNOW THIS CAR!!!

It belonged to a guy who lives just around the corner from me. The damage was caused when he jackknifed a trailer. The left rear door and rear quarter is damaged, and the fuel tank has been pushed in a bit. It still drives fine. The damage was costed at $3000 to fix, but was then jacked up to $5000, because the insurance company wanted to write it off. It wouldn't cost $3000 to fix. It's an excellent car, has been looked after very well and is in great condition except for this damage.

If anyone buys it, you'll inherit the taillight lenses and clipless right rear door trim off my 504, and the dashtop off my brother's 504! When the guy knew it was going to be written off, he brought it around to our place to exchange any bits we wanted. We didn't have much time, otherwise we would've grabbed the interior too!

If you can buy it cheap, fix it and you'll have a very good 504.

Oh dammit. I want a good interior. I suppose it's blue velour throughout right? Bugger it. Peujohn, what's the best way to recover a dash? Or just buy a new one - is that the best solution?

    Thanks,

    Chris.

Yes, it's the blue velour interior and in excellent condition. We swapped the doortrim because mine was missing the clips and had a bald patch on the carpet section (but not too bad), and swapped the dashtops because my brother's had been recovered badly with vinyl.

Best way to recover a dash? Dave McBean knows about a place in Sydney that will recover them with any material you like.

Otherwise, do what we did: find a good one and swap them.
