The best i can do is a basically perfect 205 gti for $5500 (Not negotiable)
The car has new tyres, strong motor, and gearbox,
runs awesome, good interior.
If you bought a car for $4,500, you would spend a $1000 getting it to run properly. A 205 for under $5000 would need HEAPS OF WORK!!
My 205 is definately worth a look.
It is in Adelaide, but i can organise shipping anywhere..

MR_205Mi16,
is it for a road or track car? I've got a shell that would make a great track car if you're interested. Needs some panel repair work but the price is very, very cheap.

OK guys i`ll let you in on my plans.

I want a 205 so that I can place a hotten up Mi16 engine in it. I`ve got the motor so now I`m after a 205 that needs to be done up.

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!

Hi Zonda,
and welcome to Aussiefrogs

When i say "basicaly", well it's not perfect, it's an old eighties based hatch, that handles wild, goes fantastic, body and mechanicals very good, interior, well... like other 205 owners will agree they get a bit rattly, and the plastic tends to get a bit brittle...
However my car is fairly good in not having too much deterioration as far a 205's go.

You can get some real pigs that'll burn a hole in your pocket with repairs. Mine is definately not that. Looks good, goes good, reliable, well maintained mechanically, koni yellows on the front, what more would you want, in a 205 gti for under $6000.

Cheers

Hope this helps

Dave, he's started a pug dealing business. Go to www.pugsport.com.au There's pics and that explains his reason for selling doesn't it?

that's about it.
But money, arghhhh, i paid too much for the 205,
car has to leave my hands in good condition, and i spent far too much on this 205, i thought i could get $7500, but oh well, the car owes me $6500, and i hope the new buyer comes to aussiefrogs and tells everyone what a bargain he got...
any other info required just mail me.

and as far as pugsport, well if i can pay the rent, i will be a happy man thats all i want, something to keep me occupied, have a little fun, oh its great talking about pugs everyday. I am learning soooo much!
