Default 404 Ute Body Unfinished Project

This 404 ute body was meant to be my weekend project, after I finished working on my 1992 205 GTI, sadly after I finished my 205 GTI I never had the time to complete the ute. I have had to sadly come to the decision to sell my unfinished ute due to the fact that my son is approaching the age of his first car, and there is not enough room in the garage for it to fit.

The body and panels of the Ute were stripped and sprayed with a black gloss by a professional at a cost of $11,000, all rust on the car was completely removed making one of the only rust free 404 utes you will see around with new panels. This would make a excellent project car to complete in which ever fashion you desire with out having to worry about paying ludicrous fees to spray and remove the rust.

My loss is your gain especially if you are looking for a perfect rust free 404 ute body in glass black

The 404 ute had changes to it over the years I own it..
Then rear wheel arches have about 50mm taken off the height.
The gearbox area has be altered to take a BA7/5 box or the BA7/4
The running gear was changed long ago by the late Peter Portilli in Sydney who had the fastest 404 ute around
    this included
    504 TI Ltd Diff
4 stud axle rear to take 505 gti rims
    4 stud front brakes from a 604
"I used a 2lt TI motor which gave the ute very high torque to weight"
The rear leaf springs reset with 3 less leaves which give it a very smooth ride with improved handing.
I do have a complete org rear end which will go with the sale also.
Please Note...on removing the covers I found a bubble the size of a 50c in the paint on the left guard, but nothing else.

No interested here or Gumtree looks like the end of this ute.
