Default Lowish Km Peug 3008, C4 etc ca 2014 to 2017 wanted

My wife is looking to replace her 407 SV diesel turbo V6 2006 sedan with a newish Peugeot 3008 or C4. Preferably diesel. Say 2014 (oldest) to 2017. Price range from around $15000 to $22000. Anything around? No trade in expectations for her old car. Kilometerage - say up to 65000, but preferably well less.

OK. Some lovely emails, but no suggestions. We ended up with a truly immaculate 2016 2wd 2l petrol Peug 4008 from a lovely Italian guy by the name of Salvatore as ancient as me in Thomastown. 38,000km on the clock, and I couldn't fault it in any way.

We tested a 2016 3008 diesel 4x4 too, similar Ks, Private sale; a bit of fairly trivial hail damage. Nice car . A bit cheap, but maybe a bit overpriced still, at $17000+, given private sale and hail. Linda much preferred the height of the 4008 over the 3008, though, even though it is more Mitsubishi-ish! Doen't really feel or look like the later to me, though.

I also had a look at an absolutely stunning 4008 AWD 2014, with less Ks on the clock (under 32,000) than either of the above. $15400 on the list but he was prepared to take it down a little (say $15000). Hey, looking at the link he has dropped the price again, to $14,900! Mad! It is really worth $18000 at least, I reckon! One owner, Belgian family, truly lovely car. If anyone wants one, buy it! I would have bought it like a shot if I had the $$$!!

Preferred it myself, but Linda wanted as new as she could get, and 2014, despite the lower ks, $4000 lower price and 4WD wouldn't sway her. If you know anyone who wants a truly, truly lovely and underpriced vehicle, this is the best I have seen in many a year, though! The owner, Andre, is selling it because he has got a new (company?) Tesla (looks pretty danged fine, too) and has a gorgeous Peugeot RCV sports clogging up the Camberwell street space!

If anyone wants a truly immaculate 4008 AWD, then Andre's is very , very hard to beat at the price , I reckon! See https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...6290240/?Cr=11. No bullshit or personal interest here. It was the best car I saw over a long, wearing weekend, bar none! Anyone who can afford to snap it up will be doing themselves a major favour!
