Default *Another Price Drop!!!* Brad's S16 For Sale $12,500

It's come time to sell my S16 to make way from something newer. (Edit: and a new house )

Details (lots of) are as follows:
    1995 306 S16
    Built December 1994
    Metallic Blue
    170,000 kms
    QLD rego until January 2005
    QLD Plates PUG516 (PUGS16)
    Had 170,000kms service
New engine at 80,000 kms and dyno'ed at 122kw.
Pod filter intake (can replace with original if needed)
    Remus rear box
    5 Speed Manual
    New Kumho tyres 195/55/15
    DBA Slotted rotors
    EBC Green pads all around
    DOT4+ brake fluid
Lowered 30mm at front with Apex springs and resplined at the rear
4 wheel disk brakes with ABS
    Drivers Airbag
    A/C with Climate Control
    Half leather interior
    Viper Alarm & Immobiliser
    Keyless entry with central locking
Interior is in immaculate condition. Always had 4 floor mats in the car
The body is very straight and clean
Have owned the car since December 2000 and have every receipt and service information since that time

    Basic run-down of service history:
2 new intake diaphragms and in working order (ie heaps of low down grunt)
New intake solenoid and vacuum booster
Front struts renewed 2 years ago
Engine mounts renewed with OEM since I bought the car
Both inner and outer CV joints remanufactured
Several engine sensors renewed (crank angle, speed and O2)
Radiator recently core-cleaned and thermostat replaced with OEM
Front suspension bushes renewed 2 months ago.
New Hi-flow Catalytic convertor & front resonator
    New clutch cable

This is a very fine example of sensational hot hatch which is still one of the best handling and entertaining cars built. The lowered suspension does make the ride firmer, however benefits by feeling considerably more planted on the road and responsive in turn-in switchback roads. Remus exhaust is not boomy at all and makes a nice throaty sound when revving out. The King dragon pod filter is located in the bottom of the left hand front bumper and also gives a great induction note.

There are several pictures of the car on my home page, http://brash.homeip.net however I'll be placing more pictures up shortly to show more detailed information.

    New Price: $12,500ono

I'm almost offended at that! Then I take my Ford out for a spin and am grinning ear to ear.

If you don't require boot space (won't even take a set of goldf clubs or rear seats .. the MX5 (with the turbo of course) ... and plenty of easy to get go-fast gear for it as well.

Brad I've got a few questions relating to you car. They're purly for my knowledge and improving my car. I'm not a prospective buyer for your fine vehicle...
hope you dont mind me asking these few questions.
    New engine at 80,000 k
how come ? did the previous owner do that ?
Engine mounts replaced with OEM since I bought the car
I need to replace one engine mount - what was the advantage of OEM ?
New Hi-flow Catalytic convertor & front resonator
can I get some more info on this upgrade including prices ?

    thanks

The car looks to be very well maintained - good luck with the sale !
I dont see myself in the next couple of years being strong enough to say good-bye to my S16 ...
    1994 306 S16 sold but not forgotten

Previous owner had the cambelt go at just over 80,000 and the car was given a new motor...it feels like it too!!

I'm not sure whether there are aftermarket ones, I know Peter T makes some pretty good bottom mounts, I didn't know this when I had mine replaced.

Now the question is, are you going to be allowed to be an Aussiefrogs admin if you own an MX5?

If the MX5 is on the shopping list, why not check around the grey importers and see who's bringing in S2000s... they're four years old now.

    Awesome!

Europcar have '03 MX5's for $88 per day or something ridiculous.

Take one for a drive over a weekend. I think they're pretty amazing.
