    Default F/S 1963 Renault Caravelle

Regretfully selling our 1963 Renault Caravelle. This Caravelle has an 842-01 1250cc R12 TL engine (rare!) with an 8-port head and Weber fitted, there is a R12 clutch and flywheel paired to a 330-31 R10S gearbox. The driver’s gauges have been changed and modified with a R16 cluster which presents with km/hr and is calibrated to the 330-31 gearbox. All aspect of the gauges work including the fuel and temp gauges which have been custom fitted to the lower right of the steering wheel. As can be seen in the photos the steering wheel is currently a Dauphine one, unfortunately I do not have the original wheel.
It is fitted with 14" widened steel wheels with R16 centres, measuring 4 1/2" on the front and 5" on the rear with all rims running 155/80R14 Nankang's which are less than 12 months old. Braking is booster assisted on 4-wheel discs and there is very tastefully fitted high stop lamp and reversing lights, a new battery starts this beauty with ease, best of all this Caravelle has the smoothest and well adjusted doors that click shut.

Overall these changes make this Caravelle a joy to drive in town and on the highway.

I recently replaced the sealing rubbers on the hard-top and adjusted it so it fits perfectly and doesn’t leak. The interior of the hard-top hood lining is in great condition for its age and all accessories such as the hard-top parcel shelf, soft-top tonneau cover and dickey seat insert (which has rear lap-sash seats belts fitted) are included. The front seats have inertia reel seat belts. While the Caravelle photographs well, it needs a respray with some paint faded and cracked paint at the front of the bonnet and hard-top, also the soft-top needs replacement. There is a small dent in the NSR guard which can be easily repaired, there is very little rust in this vehicle if any!

Unfortunately, I don't have the time or money to enjoy the Caravelle which with some minor panel work, a closed door respray and new soft-top would make it an excellent example and turn heads wherever it goes.

    Asking $8800

Bumping this as the car is still for sale.

Unfortunately I have been jerked around a fair bit of late, the last offer I declined as they were going to rip the engine out and make it electric...
It's now also advertised on Gumtree.

Hoping that an enthusiast in the AF community gives it the attention it needs.
