Default For reluctant sale in Perth, 1995 Peugeot 306 XT manual, family-owned from new

It's time to move on from our lovely Peugeot, displaced by a larger and newer Renault Scenic.

It is the 1.8 8-valve, single cam engine. Nice flat torque curve.

The car has always been properly serviced, by Euromotive for many years and then by Eurocare for the last decade or so, and drives really well. Very few cars turn into corners like a Peugeot 306.

It is more or less unmarked and everything works I think. Anything that has been needed has always been done at the time.

    The only known three issues:

    1. It is using oil (valve guides), but I see no smoke at all so we top up as required.

    2. The remote might need a new battery but the central locking by key is perfect.

    3. The driver's seat is sagging a bit but no tears or splits.

It has a rarely used towbar and a factory sunroof that also works perfectly.

It has almost always been garaged, day and night. Body and paint essentially perfect, white with window tinting.

Yes, heater radiator has been done, twice when near new and once as a precaution when the AC evaporator developed a leak! This has been the only component failure apart from an alternator, at least that I can think of.

It has done 255,000 km and has been used extensively on a daily basis by our daughter for the last few years. It has never broken down on the roadside except in our first week of ownership when it was new!!

The clutch is original but feels fine.

Pretty good buying at $1500. Please don't mess around with silly offers.

    Send a PM if serious.

Not a "bump" so much as "if 208 people have looked at the advert, surely one person wants to look at the car?"

It's a good buy. If I wanted one or could accommodate one, I'd not sell it, that is for sure.

I forgot, it has Rola bars too.

Bump... I'd hate to give it to the wrecker.
