    Hello Froggers,

My 205 gti is for sale. It's going here first because aussiefrogs has been invaluable to me and because I hate tyre kickers. It will go to carsales, gumtree and the Tas french car club soon, so if you're seriously interested, please get in touch.

    It's an Alpine white Aust-delivered 88-89 (series 1.5) in very good condition - 191,158km.

    Flaws:

    1. It has some evidence of a front-right bingle at some time. It's pretty minor and has been repaired prior to my tenure. I can take pictures if you'd like - no evidence from the outside.

    2. It's not completely stock. It has Koni Yellow adjustable struts and an induction duct delete (both pictured) which make it slightly better. I'll probably re-install the original ducting to get the AFM the right way up.

    3. There are some dash cracks, the steering wheel could be re-covered and the ashtray will be replaced with a panel for the stereo AUX lead and USB charger.

    4. The parcel shelf is long gone. So is the sound deadening under the carpet and in the boot, as it got wet and wouldn't dry out. The car is by no means noisy even so.

    5. No Aircon or rear washer - there's a pipe missing for both. You could likely get them working if you wanted to.

This is a very solid, straight example with significantly less KM than the average and lots of work done over the 8 years I've had it:

    Most recent:
    -Reconditioned head
-Timing Belt (again just for fun )
    -Unmolested AFM
-New control stalk rubbers (they melt, y'know?)
-SAD and Oil breather hoses replaced with BakerBM parts where necessary
    -Exhaust Back-box
    -Heater controls
    -Driveshaft seals
    -Master cylinder + reservoir
    -Front wheel bearings
    -Dizzy seal
    -Clutch
    -Gear links
    -Clutch cable
-that bastard clutch dogbone linkage will not drop out anymore
    -Magnetti Marelli radiator
    -Heater core
    -Water pump
    -Timing belt and tensioner
    -Rear beam
-lots of missing bolts found and restored

It goes very well, starts, idles up, idles down . The interior is basically complete with NO TEARS in the seats.

The engine number matches, it's registered and will pass pits.

I don't really want to sell it, but I know I should. It would suit a collector or enthusiast. Currently I'm asking $8000.
