chef, there are two mi16s in the melbourne trading post this week. One is a series 1 (v low ks) the other is a series 2 (too cheap - could be one to stay away from).

Like I already posted, there is one in Caulfield. Go up Balaclava rd. Turn right into Bambra rd and about 20 metres up is a silver one with phone numbers on it.

    chef,
you're right, the two mi16s at alpine affair are gone, but there seems to be a few around for you to look at. It's good to be patient though so that you end up with a good car. As far as I know - the series two has 15" wheels of different design to the 14" series one wheels, a completely new interior - more modern, rounded dash etc., and a different boot lid that reaches the rear bumber (doesn't have the grey plastic panel between the tail lights). There is the upgraded 2L engine, and improved gearbox as well I think. Many people agree that the series two doesn't retain the character of the series one, and are not as fun to drive due to the 1.9 being a lot more free revving. However, both handle extremely well, and if you thought the SRi was amazing, wait till you drive an Mi!
    Good luck with it.

I have a 1993 black series 2 Mi 16. 150,000 kms just had its major service including cam belt change, tensioner belt change, water pump, 2 new disc breaks, 8 new break pads (super sticky greenstuff) etc etc cost $1500 from authorised peugeot mechanic. Also brand new Yokohama performance tyres

In excellent mechanical order, needs a couple of minor things - front passenger electric window is slipping, and the horn seems to have lost its toot!
    Interior immaculate (cloth).
    CD player etc

Great car - looking for 10 grand.

    PM me if interested.

    Cheers

Hey guy, check out the Caulfield one. I saw the chick owner driving it this morning. AN ABSOLUTE STUNNER.
Angus I'm sure you're handsome, but you aren't a beautiful black woman.
    Chef, you have been told.
