Andrew, just letting you know that I'll be taking it if it's in a half decent condition, so there might not be a point in you popping down. Be sure to give Ben a call first to check if it's still available

    Nope, sorry to disappoint
Not after getting $1,000 of work done to it

I'm thinking of doing up one of the 4 x 604 engines that we have here and plonking it in the 504... that'd be nice. V6 here we come

A standard V6 would probably only perform as well as a good Ti...

    You think so?
Hmm, I might have to see what's causing the noisy piston and figure out what's best to do.

I think dad also said we have a balanced 504 engine floating around here somewhere...

a bit more torque and a few more HP over the TI but with a little work they are great fun

    DJ

pretty much all pug engines are balanced from the factory. I took an XN crank, rods, pistons, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate and front pulley to get balanced once at the bloke near laughed at me when i told him what they were out of

he showed me why he was laughing and there was next to nothing he could do so the exercise was fruitless

The Peugeot factory performance figures are nearly identical for the V6 and TI engined Coupes.
Where the V6 is good is in the higher gears, defintely more torque.

sorry to barge in on this dialogue - just wanted to let any interested parties know that the car's been sold.

Thanks to all who showed an interest.

I reckon the Ti option's to one to go for (fewer overheating problems, better fuel economy...)

i don't want to be seen as splitting hairs here but i had a 5 spd 604 that gave me better economy than the TI's i have owned and to top it off it ran cool

even the 604 i have now doesn't have any overheating problems

    they are both good engines
