Default peugeot 505 2.0 turbo car

ok is this a misprint ?

    http://www.fowles.com.au/auctions/lo...number=1514661

someone in brisbayne might be able to shed some info on this car but i tend to think it may be a 2.3 turbo diesel not a 2.0 turbo petrol

The SRD classification would certainly lend itself to a Diesel rather than a petrol

Really? I thought 2.3 was the minimum for the 505? And in an automatic?

Certainly, there's something wrong with the ad...

as far as i know all 505 diesels were either 2.3 or 2.5

504's were 2.1 very early and then 2.3 i think

there was i'm sure a smaller one but we aren't talking 504 or 505 as we had 3 engines and one was under 2.0 from memory and the other 2 were 2.1's and they were all the indenor diesel engines

I'm not aware of any 5-oh diesel in Oz being less than 2.1 litres; I'm not sure how many of them are about. What year did they switch to the 2.3?

I'm sure all the Australian delivered cars were 2.3.
Maybe there was a 2.1 in the cheaper O/S versions (live axle etc.) Chris Hall has one where you have to pull a knob to turn it off!
Note that the ad for a 405 in the same auction refers to it as a 1.6!
