T16 pics are awesome. I wonder how this would compare to todays normal pleb spec WRX or something similar?

They're both 4wd and the WRX has about 20hp more. I reckon the Subaru would be quicker pretty much everywhere. The Pug would probably be way more fun though

More to the point is power to weight.

    T16 200hp/0.65t = 307hp/tonne

    WRX 227hp/1.395t = 163hp/tonne

    Nuff said.

Brad, not sure where you got that weight from...

    The 200bhp homologation T16 weighed a heavy 1100+kg.
    The 500bhp evolution 2 racecar T16 weighed 910 kg.

    0.65t?!?

    Don't think so mate.

    Hey guys

Do a search on this forum as I have actually driven this ACTUAL T16 - ie the one in the photos and wrote a driving review about my experience. I also gave some comparisons with a WRX as I've driven and raced quite a few.

    Cheers

    hehehe,

tell me this, a pure breed rally car street legal, phase 1 some thing like 276hp, phase 2 392hp both running an f-1 turbos(yes f-1's did run turbos in those days)faster than a f-1 on gravel!4wd only 200 of each phase made, something like 75 smashed in local rallying across euope and a nice price tag of $130,000u.s.d. $40,000pound and $60,000euro its no wonder that there aren't any in Oz.

there was a rumor a few years back i was told of a private collector bringing one in but never been seen!well all those dreamers keep dreaming, all those workers keep on working maybe one day we will be able to drive one or even own one!

    hehehehehehehhe
