Pity you're over the west side; that car would be lucky to last 5 minutes over this side.

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!

Yea the distance has always worked against us (and the Citroen market has always been a little freaky here) - still it'll probably only cost $500 or so to send it over by truck.

I appreciate it's nice to try before you buy though.

Wow! 4500 dollars. I think that translates to about 2000 Pom Pounds.
I just bought a good one over here for 125. Is there a market for swapping one for a DS? Didn't think so...

    The BX is a 5-speed.

I am the second owner and have had it for around ten years.

I have done the servicing myself (I have had 14 Citroens previously)

A/C works mint. Better in fact than my my Zantia when it was new, or my wifes new Volvo Cross Country that replaced the BX. I suspect the couple of grand I spent on the A/C last year might have helped.

Other than the A/C work, other than regular servicing all it has needed was a recond head (valve guide issue), new clutch & drive shaft boots last year.

I'll try to take some pictures off it & post them.

Just so that I can have the last word - John is the new owner of the BX.
(first time I've been without a Citroen in 23 years John)
