no-one can reply to "for sale" adverts. I'd be wary of that car .... make sure you can register it again. It should have a personal import plate. Being an 89 model I would have expected for it to be legal in Australia it would have high back seats, child anchorages and a modified fuel filler to allow only ULP (at a minimum). I can't see high back seats .................................... You'd sure want to check carefully the legality of any import documents before spending that sort of coin

There's one in Ballarat for similar money that was purchased from a deceased estate (for next to nothing I imagine). the guy insists "it can be complianced" ............... If that's the case, why hasn't he done it I wouldn't touch the ballarat 2cv with a barge pole incase you end up with a real expensive "parts only" car ............. Unless of course he suddenly "finds" all the import documents!

Also, searching for a Citroen may be more successful than searching for a Citreon. As Shane implies you must make sure the car is already complies with regulation for the state you wish to register it in. 2CVs were never sold new in Aus and all of them are private imports. However there are many around and they do come on the market from time to time.
