Default 405 S for Auction, Scrap or save?

Around the corner from me on Sunday there will be an auction of a wide selection of junk/crap /flotsam/jetsam...
Among which is an intact 405s. Its not been on the road since 2008 and its past is unknown.
I would have to guess that the motor and gearbox, (auto I think), is dubious as it is not started or test run.

Based on this limited information I am considering bidding for it for one of two reasons......

1...is there someone out there wanting a complete car for parts or rescue....(I can buy it and wheel it around the corner until you pick it up)...no charge or commission.....now theres a deal.

    Or

2...Buy it on the strength of expressions of interest for parts and scrap it out for a slight profit and recycle the leftovers.

Given this, I am also after some kind of bid guide if wanting to buy it outright, (I am thinking its $100 worth of steel and alloy), $2-300 as a rolling parts bin.

PM me if interested or post advice.

    Default

Also in the auction....2 SAAB 900, one rag top, one sunroof.

You would have to be insane to buy a SAAB in an auction...then again I am thinking does this apply to 405 buyers as well.
