Hmm I was thinking about some of these cause I have never been satisfyed with my brake pedal feel and braking power.
I got told that they are illegal on a road car here in NZ. Anyone know if this is true or not?

As far as I know they are a legal fitment in Oz. sorry ipb205, but they are illegal in Oz as well. you know that the extra breaking/feel can't be good for safety  . seriously though their is a reason, which i can't remember (maybe harder to visually check lines).

Izza, a quick call to the local MOT testing station would give you the answer to your question, there are one or two people in those places that actually know what theyre talking about.

With all due respects, most of those tossers either know some obscure laws that they can use to demonstrate their vast array of knowledge with to impress the unwashed or wouldn't have a clue what they were looking for. If they're not in a book, in triplicate with colour photos they'd probably come up with something along the lines of "gee; these French think of everything; fancy having those on a road car." eek!
I was once pulled up by a dopey copper when I was doing a driving lesson on a motor bike. I was in a Driving School car, signs on the bike, had an instructors licence and got told that an instructors licence wasn't worth the paper it was written on. Wondered why the kid on the bike got so stroppy and asked for the coppers number & ID; turned out he was the local Inspectors son...Kidding that copper didn't half get a towelling that day when he knocked off mallet
Best bit was, he was a Sargeant attached to the Traffic Branch; one who suddenly got a lot of practice controlling traffic on wet days, but, see what I mean?
